AST6231A Exhaust Hanger Pliers assist in the removal of rubber mounting bushes found in the exhaust system.
- Provides a simple solution for removal of rubber mounts from vehicle exhaust systems

Notes:
- Petrol and diesel exhaust systems are suspended from the underside of the vehicle on rubber mounting bushes, which act as dampers when the vehicle is in motion
- Thermal cycles within the exhaust system cause the rubber bushing to become hardened and fused to the steel hanging hooks of the exhaust and vehicle underbody, making them very difficult to remove
- AST6231A provides a simple solution for removal of rubber mounts from vehicle exhaust systems
- The rod of the tool simply locates on to the end of steel mounting hook with the heavy duty support plate positioned behind the rubber mounting bush
- The steel hook is then forced from the bush by closing the jaws of the tool
