EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature) Sensor Socket Set

AST6198 is a 6pc. EGT (Exhaust Gas Sensor) Socket Set which enables the effective removal/replacement of the EGT sensor.

Due to the sensors being located in areas of extreme temperature, and with 3 or more sensors being fitted on the vehicle system, failure rates are high. Access around the EGT sensor can be severely restricted, therefore removal and replacement via a conventional ring or open-ended spanner is difficult.

The offset and straight sockets within AST6198 allows the technician to attach a ratchet and extension where required to obtain the optimal position on the sensor to support an effective removal/replacement.

The set includes the following sizes:

3 x 3/8" Sq. Drive. Straight Sockets: 13,14,17mm

3 x 3/8" Sq. Drive Offset Sockets: 13,14,17mm

which are suitable for use on all applications fitted with 13, 14 or 17mm EGT Sensors.
